Last night I finally got to meet a fellow MINI S owner. We compared notes and then, like this was possible to avoid, we worked on the stunt scenes for Italian Job II... So we are both rolling about 15ish in first coming to a single turn lane that dumps onto a big, slightly uphile, 5 lane road. Once we were clear it was WOT in first as we both turned in. He took the inside lane so I was forced to take the outside. By this time I was turning pretty hard and in second gear at about 4k rpms. I gave it a good shove on the gas as I was trying to pull hard out of the turn. I expected wheel spin, what I got has me perplexed. I nailed the throtle and the power never made it to the wheels, the rpms didnt climb so It wasnt slipping, the ASC was off...?? This has happened one other time, I was turning out onto a street and thought it would be fun to really hammer it coming out. I took off hard from the stop sign and at the proper time cranked the wheel to the left, the same thing happened. Anyone got any thoughts for my feeble little mind on this??
