squeak/clicking in clutch 2009 MCS

for a few weeks i have noticed a squeeking in my clutch peddle, when i would press an release, it hought it was just my shoes but happened with every shoe so i found in weird, just yesterday after my long drive home i pulled it into the garage and when i pressed the clutch it was clicking, i turned the car off and pressed again, it went click, click, click, then depressed and it did the same thing, this morning it made no noises. but when i got to work it was squeaking again and clicking. i have read on the forums of earlier years having this problem, but has any one with newer ones had this? this will be the 5th time i have taken my mini to have something fixed that is factory default, and i have only had it a lil over a year. my appointment is tomorrow to get it checked. i hope all goes well. i do mainly all highway driving so its not like im beating my clutch to death, but to have clutch problems at 40,000 miles is not cool

The baring on the pedal is bad, bring it in and they will put a new one in.

Mine was doing something similar (I'd call it a clicking, but no noise, just something you could "feel" at around the 3/4 depress or release point, kind of a "detent"). All they did was lube mine and it seems fine....so far

wow i took it in today and they are saying it is the pressure plate in the clutch, they were pulling apart my whole tranny today to make sure my clutch is ok and nothing is wrong with the transmission, so i have no clue when i will have my car back!

well originally they werent going to cover the clutch, but my service guy pushed for it and they put in a whole new clutch for me, i have never had a problem with a clutch at 40,00 miles, my pedal still squeaks so im guessing its the spring under the pedal, i guess i will have them check it when i take it in for service in a few thousand miles
