Not real bad, but not just a few drops a day either... Its near the left hand firewall... could it be my oil catch which is near my dsc unit... is there anything else i should check? Its not near the front or center or right, just the rear left area...Thanks guys!

Could be your oil cooler heat exchanger. I've heard those tend to leak, and I actually have a leak in my car too and that's one of the things I need to check. If the car leaks while standing still, it could be an oil pan problem. If the car only leaks while moving, and perhaps only deposits a few drops on the floor after you've returned home, that means it's only leaking when the oil is pressurized. That would be the case if it were the oil cooler.

 

thanks guys ill check on it soon.. my dan dipstick broke too! (why did they make them out of fiberglass?) So i just use the top part as a plug for now while i order my dipstick...

 

Okay after closer inspection it appears my mini is leaking oil onto the front sway bar.... any ideas on whats in the area that can cause such a leak?

 

can somone post a pic of most common problem areas such as the oil cooler heat exchanger...Thanks!
