Sunroof shade keeps opening!!

Is there a way to keep the sunshade portion of the sunroof from opening on its oun? I close it and the first bump I hit, it starts sliding back!

Thanks

That would be annoying, for sure. Mine hasn't opened on it's own, but it still lets in too much light when the sun is just right, so I am thinking about replacing it with a solid one that blocks all light when closed. Not sure you want to replace it yet, but that might solve your problem.

Mine opens on its own too, but only an inch or two.

One thing I'm concerned about with spring/summer approaching is the heat coming in through the sunroof - might have to tint those two pieces nice and dark.

Mine started out only openning an inch or two but now it goes about 6-8 inches!! Living in Florida doesn't help!! Maybe I'll just have the glass part tinted dark?

mine sneaks open about an inch or so -- my solution was to tint the sunroof the darkest I could-helps immensely in the California heat. I like to keep the sunshade open now, but the rear shade rattles when open, so, now it's closed. But, really - do the dark tint - I think you'll be happy with it

Mine has done this since day one. I didn't realize there were any fixes. Can anyone point me in the right direction for a DIY fix?

I have tinted my sunroof as dark as possible(5% tint). Also went and purchased a ZIPPEESHADE by http://zippeegear.com/. Keeps the sun out.

Yes. I knew I had seen a vendor ad for one. Tmini08 has posted the link here for you. The dealer fix sounds like a good option as well, but I think I will go for the zippeegear shade since sometimes the sun still hits hard through the closed screen.

Tmini08, was the Zippeegear shade easy to install and good quality?
