Hi all,

I have a 2003 R-50, with 90 k on it and the trans flew apart going down the highway at 70 MPh.
A gear tooth actually shot threw the case.

Anyways, I need a new 5 speed.

I see minimania.com has a rebuilt for about 3 grand with shipping to NY.
Is that going to be for the same POS Midlands trans?

I'd love to replace it with a 6 speed, but the cost seems high and it's more involved then I can deal with working in my driveway.

Does anyone have a better idea or any suggestions?

The car is just sitting in my driveway, pissing me off every day.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Perhaps someone out there is in need of a car with a bad trans?
