Stock radio won't stay in AUX setting

I just aquired a 2006 mcsc. When I connect my tomtom iphone car kit to teh AUX connection and start playing music it will play for a bit then switch back to radio. Once this happens I cannot select AUX again unless I unplug my phone and plug it back in.

If I don't have anything connected I can set the radio to AUX and it will stay there indefinately.

Anyone else encounter this behavior?

Thanks,
Kevin

My Griffin Autopilot _occasionally_ does this, but I always figured it was because the 12v plug worked its way out of the socket and went dead, and the Mini's stereo detected it as a cold input. I reach down and jam it back into place and it comes back.

You probably need a ground loop isolator if this problem only happens when the device is running on power supplied by the car, like a cigarette lighter plug.

Check out this thread, different device but the same problem, many threads on NAM with the same solution.
