please help with airbags alert

hi, mi name is joan, and i have a problem with the airbag alert that today put ir in on. there is a whay to put it off?
mi mini is a S 2004.

Hi Joan, please take your MINI to a Dealer or Import Shop to have the system checked and fixed or re-set as needed. Airbags are not something most people want to mess around with.

Moreover, they are the only ones with the equipment to reset the light.

There was a TSB on this issue a while back. I know it covered my 02, not sure about an 04, but the dealer will know.

My 06 r53 had airbag lights on twice, both times were bad sensors replaced by the dealer.

Spike ('06 MCS) is out of warranty...I'm thinking Airbags are a SAFETY issue....does this mean the Dealer has to replace the sensor at no cost?

I believe the warranty on this issue extends out to 100k.

Bad passenger seat occupancy sensors and seat belt tensioners are common.
