tire noise; wheel bearing?

New to the community. Love my our 2002 Mini. Bought a set of Bridgestone Potenza tires about 3 months ago. They were fine at first but are now making a lot of noise the faster the louder. Anyone Have a similar experience with these tires. Thanks

What model Potenza? Sport 760's, RE960's,etc. Depending on the tread design it could be pretty aggressive and yes will make some noise, but will stick very nicely. If they bother you that much Bridgestone does offer a 30 day ride guarantee. So just take them back to a Bridgestone dealer within 30 days and they can give you full credit toward another quieter tread design.

Tires are 205/45R17 84V. Little over 113,000 miles. Thinking maybe front wheel bearing?

Bingo, front wheel bearing, two ways to check, does it get louder when you change lanes at speed? Or jack up each front side and grab the tire at 12 and 6 and see if there's any movement. While it's in the air check the front arm bushings too. at 113,000 it's time for some maintenance.

Just did this repair to my 02 MCS with 70K on it. NAPA actually sells the wheel bearing. Bought it for a little less than $200. Not sure what a MINI dealership is selling it for. Also had a local factory trained BMW mechanic install it for $80.
