coolant issues

I've bee loosing antifreeze - no-apparent leaks around the expansion tank seams-

I filled up the tank to the correct marks and started her up. no leaks around the thermostat housing as best as i can tell. I started up the car, looked under the car and noticed drips of fluid dripping around the power steering pump and fan area. As the car warmed up the dripping stopped - Any ideas? Now I'm concerned that I've put the power steering pump and fan in jeopardy. Any ideas?

Leak fixed

I took LiL MIN - to the dealer to have the problem checked out - I knew it wasn't the expansion tank. But was concerned it might cost $$$$. Matt Page of Patrick Mini said they would take a look and see what they cold find. It turned out to be a problematic thermostat and gasket. Plus I got my oil changed and break lines bled. No charge- the Service Department @ Patrick Mini (Schaumburg IL.) has been great. and I'm back on the road.

Thanks to this forum I started checking by coolant level in the expansion tank just to see if I was losing any before my warranty period ended. About a week before the 3yr/36000 was up I noticed a drop in the reservoir level. I couldn't see any obvious leak and called the dealer to make an appointment a day before my 3 yrs was up. They took it in replaced the thermostat/gasket with an upgraded part and were at least honest enough to admit there have been coolant problems with these models. While I do appreciate the honesty, it would have been great if they issued a recall and replaced the units before a possible major engine issue occured. Thanks for all the good information posted on this board!
