I've brought this up to my dealer multiple times, but they claim that they cannot replicate the problem and that no errors pop up when the car is plugged into their computer. (Note that my body shop instantly noticed the surges, so I feel like the dealer's ignorance is BS.) Has anyone been able to find a solution to this issue? The car has about 9,000 miles on it at this point, and has always had this problem. It's noticeably worse in Sport.
Go with your dealer/service tech for a test drive. And point it out to them during the test drive. I would think they should be able to do something for you.

I took a rep from the dealer on one test drive, but was only able to replicate minor surges, which they claimed were "normal." Not a terribly helpful answer, especially given that I pointed out that the surges are typically more severe and very noticeable. I've explained the surges to a variety of service reps at the dealership on different occasions, and the answers vary from "it's normal and a quirk of this adorable car you choose to drive (paraphrase, of course)" to "we don't know what you're talking about."
