Water in door on kick plate

Don’t think this has been asked. After sitting in the rain or getting washed I tend to have water under my door on my kick plates. It does not appear to be making it into the cabin, so it isn't really a problem. Is this normal for a Mini? I just want to make sure this isn’t a leak that might get worse.

Normal to have water there after a car wash.

Ok, thanks. Never had water there in anyother car I have owned, but I suppose statements like that are part of Mini ownership

The kickplate is on the outside of the car, at least as far as weather goes. The doors seal above the kickplates.

Yes, I have this problem also with my 2008 mini s and, living in Oregon, I was concerned. With a new car, I was surprised, thought there was a defect with the door seals or something but checked with the dealer. There is nothing wrong with my door seals/window seals but nothing to prevent the water there either. "Normal" for this car, I suppose.
