My first speeding ticket

I received my first speeding ticket EVER and I was in the Mini

I was only going 49 in a 35. The cop was driving in an unmarked car in front of me and I passed him. He then pulled me over.

There goes 150 bucks! I may appeal it because how can someone clock me if they were driving too? Thought they needed a radar gun?

He can just pace you long enough to match speed and look at his speedometer.

Or he can just say "Speed limit 35, I was going 35, he passed me, he was speeding." But since he said 49, he either paced you ... or made up the number. But even if that number is made up, a judge is likely to uphold the ticket because you passed the cop.

Sorry about the ticket!

You got me, I got mine in a dealer loaner while waiting for delivery.

Just to much fun -- too much temptation for me.

Today's police radar can detect speed within the radar's sweep while moving. Only with laser must the operator be stationary.

Oh yea... buy a Valentine V1!

Look at the bright side... This will improve your mpg by at least 3 points. Mine went up to 26 mpg from 22 mpg when I got my first speeding ticket :D

Hey, the car can go too fast. Sounds like a quality control issue to me.

Wish I had known this then, I sure the Judge would have understood.

That's cheap. In PA that would've cost you around $300. Then again the odds of you ever actually seeing a cop enforcing the speed limit or any other traffic laws in this state are astronomical.
