another day, another A/C issue on NAM
another day, another A/C issue on NAM
95 degrees today and the A/C is not working - auto, manual, lo setting, nothing but hot air comiing out of the vents.
I checked the 30A fuse in the box under the bonnet, its good.
I swapped the relay with the snowflake on it with an identical one in the same block, no change.
So . . . 1) I am not sure that the compressor is kicking on or not. I dont believe it is because I do not feel the usual pull on the engine when driving and the A/C is on. 2) i recently mounted my DICE ipod unit to the side of the A/C and Heater module beneath the radio. what I did was screw two small (less than 1/2" long) screws threw the holes in the DICE mounting flanges into what I believe is the airbox of the module.
I disconnected the battery earlier and just ran the on board diagnostic on the A/C system. It showed 00 (no faults) and the servo calibration test ran through with no problems.
Do I need to recheck the relays and, if so, how?
Are there additional fuses to check and, if so, where?
Is there an alternate way to see if the compressor is running?
Its 300+ miles to the nearest MINI dealer and it's only getting hotter here. For the record, its a 2005 MCS with 32K miles.

No specific help but unless your MINI is still under warranty just take it to a local AC shop. The AC on the MINI is not that different they could not help you, no need to drive to the dealer.
