hesitation/loss of power in second? Still?

I've investigated this problem here before, but I'm still searching for answers.
My 03 non S experiences a drop in power when I shift to second. This happens on the first one or two shifts. I almost lose all power in second. Once the engine warms up, the problem disappears. Any idea what could be the cause?
I just replace plugs and wires and belt tensioner. Anyone else experience this problem? Yes, I do shift at 3k.

It's a slightly worn, and cold OEM clutch.

Thanks, Nabeshin. Any more details to add? It's the original clutch @ 96k miles.

Well, I've always noticed that the OEM clutch doesn't work as well when it is cold. It makes sense if you think about it and take note of it's engagement as you drive.

The more miles I put on the clutch, it seems like it takes longer for it get warmed up and grip better. When starting out after backing out of the driveway it can almost stall and I have to rev to 3500 and skillfully dump to avoid wheel spin to keep it going... But after a long spirited drive, the clutch almost engages as fast as my old spec stage 2 clutch did. That one's engagement seemed independent of heat.

I probably need a new clutch... again.

Unfortunately, me too (will be #3; damn LA traffic)... Mine started to get "crunchy" after using it for an extended period of time (e.g., when stuck in traffic on 405). If I am lucky and make the 33 mile freeway drive with regular clutch use, than it feels normal... It only happens when it is used a lot. I am just going to wait and see how this develops. I am guessing it will cease one day and I'll get it replaced at that point. The last time it was replaced (around 40Kmiles ago), warranty took care of it... Now, I have ~95Kmiles on it.
