Most weight in Mini Cooper.

I currently have two 15' MTX Sledgehammers in my '05 Mini Cooper. I think they weigh about 270lbs all together. The Audio shop told me a might break my suspension if i leave them in the car. Will the suspension handle? or what other suspension should i get that can hold the weight of the subwoofers??

270 lbs is like having 2 small passengers in the back seats..
or one "large and in charge" friend

I don't think it'll be a problem...

how much lower does the car sit in the back now?

does it look raked? like a rwd car ready to launch

The Audio shop said that my tires are going bald from the inner side of the tire. because of all the weight leaning in the middle i guess. Yes, you can see that the car is a little lowered now lol. I didn't see the suspension section of the forums too lol my bad.

Here are some pictures... (Sorry, my iPhone sucks when using a case on it lol).

Some adjustable rear control arms will help normalize the camber and make the tires wear evenly.

btw, you seen pimped's thread? He put a wall in his MINI with 2 18's...

You can get any range of parts from one of the vendors.

I think there is a comparison thread about control arms on here somewhere.

Many of the fine vendors who advertise on this website sell them, you only need the lower ones, dont bother with uppers, there is no reason to buy uppers.

And yeah, last I looked the car the Pimped was working on was still going strong, so you should be fine.

You DO need lower rear control arms - you DO NOT need upper ones. TSW's are good, as are H-sports and several others.

I routinely haul 800+ pounds of passengers and gear in my car with no problems.

Just to show how out of it I am......

I thought you were a demolition worker or something (and one helluva strong dude) who had to keep a couple tools of his trade in the trunk. I expected Lou Ferrigno or something trying to wield 100 lb plus sledgehammers!

15' or 15" - if the former, be careful of the 11' sticking out of the back.

I might be getting the V-Maxx Coilover suspension. Will this suspension support the weight of the subwoofers?

Depends on what you mean by "be able to support". Will they maybe sag a bit, sure, but so would your stock setup. Will they fail catastrophically? Not likely given that you subs and amps weigh about as much as two people.
