Engine died at idle
Engine died at idle
Got a message from my wife on the machine -- her 2004 MC (stock, CVT, something like 35K miles -- about the same as my 2007 MCS
) died at a stoplight. Started right back up, she didn't mention anything about any warning lights. It did this once before a couple years ago at highway speed, but now she's afraid to take it on the highway. She just drove to Houston and back over the weekend, and it just had dealer service (oil change, leaky gasket).
I can give it a visual when she's home tonight, to look for any obvious vacuum leaks, etc., and I need to ask her (her cell phone's off right now) if it was a stumbling, but she did say it was just sitting at the light.
So I thought I'd put a feeler out to see if there was any obvious things I should look at. I"m going to recommend she take it to the local specialty repair place to have it looked at this week, but I fear she may be now thinking of an opportunity to trade in for a new one.
(She's had the A/C stop working once, but when I got in it, it worked fine for me and it's not stopped since, so I don't suspect electrical.)
TIA,
