The other night I tried to unlock my glove box but heard something like a spring snapping, now it's stuck & I cannot get it open. I searched though NAM & found this is a common issue, problem the garage door opener (& asthma medication) are in the glove box which prevents me from getting to my shop tools. I tried to work on it the best I could with the limited tools I had in the kitchen but still couldn't get it open. I called Lone Star Bavarian but was told the the lock has to be "broken off" to get open, I really don't want to do that plus I never read that on NAM.

 

I finally got it open, I just now have to remove the glove box to examine the broken spring.
