Rotational vibration while accelerating in high gears?

Rotational vibration while accelerating in high gears?
My new Cooper has an "interesting" vibration while accelerating in 4th gear or higher over 3k rpms. It can be felt through the wheel/floor. Is this normal and just a characteristic of the car or could there be a problem? I only have 140 miles or so on her now. Thanks
