New MCS owner... a few questions.

I just got a 06 British Racing Green Mini. So far I love it. I came from owning an 89 Porsche 944 that needed suspension, so this thing runs CIRCLES around it. I couldnt believe how amazingthe steering/handling is. (it also has the LSD) The car drives great with the exception of a few rattles that I reall dont care about. I have a few questions though...

1. 2nd gear shifts are pretty loud, my friends told me its just the synchros and that its normal (not mini owners)

2. Steering makes an electronic noise when you turn them at a stand still.

3. My bonnet/hatch idiot light stays on for a few seconds while all of the other idiot lights are off, then goes away. Im almost positive my hood/hatch is not open.

edit heres some pics of it: http://www.facebook.com/home.php#/al...8&id=537056067

they were taken from my BB pearl, so that justifies the terrible quality. (ignore the ******* pic of me in the album)

Not normal change the tranny oil may help

I would say normal they all make noise. Might find another Mini owner to hear if yours is different
