I just picked up a loaner car 2009 CooperS. The engine seems much quieter than mine. Like the injectors are less noisy? My car only has 16k so it does not have that many miles on it. Also the exhaust is much louder sounding on the 09. Did they change much on the 09 model or is my car crap.?

My car is back for the same 4 problems its had since 10k. This will be the fourth time back to the dealer for them to tell me they can't duplicate my knocking noise. My car surges while accelerating when the engine is cold. Also has stalled twice on me. Water leak inside the car they can't find and my sunroof will not work when it is hot out. I am real sick of the car going back for them to tell me they can't find any problems.

 

The sunroof drain tubes slip off and need to be snap-tied down, my 07 had this problem and seems to be quite common.

Thanks that makes sense they can not find any water leaking but I have condensation on and off inside the car.

 

Have the dealer check it out,, mine was leaking through the rear-view mirror of all places! I was driving down the street in a torrential downpour whenn I noticed drips coming off of my rear-view mirror. I drove it directly to the dealership and they got me in. They were concerned that it might have started shorting out the electronics in the rear-view mirror.
I hope they fix all of your issues in a timely manner so you can start enjoying more problem free motoring!
