Is there any way to adjust the sensitivity/delay of the rain-sensing wipers?

 

Reading the manual helps. In lieu of that: 1) switch on ignition. 2) Briefly press the button in turn indicator lever repeatedly until SET/INFO is displayed. 3) Press and hold the button until the display changes. 4) Briefly press the button repeatedly until the symbol and SET are displayed. 5) Press and hold the button until the display changes. 6) Press the button to select the desired sensitivity. 7) Wait or press and hold the button until the display changes. The settings are stored.

 

I've tried that exact method, but I don't get a symbol that relates to the wiper sensitivity. Can anyone describe what this symbol looks like?

 

A window with a single blade and the letter "A" to the right side but the manual has some great pictures . You can download one at the owner's lounge if you lost the one that came with the car.

Hmmm, must be an 08 and later option. My manual says that it's not adjustable.

 

Ya mine doesn't have any mention of that. Must be an 08 thing. Shitty.

 

yup, the 2007 models did not have that option.

 

My '07 (October build) has the adjustable setting for rain-sense wipers (4 settings, just like SaltNPepa posted).

 

cool, perhaps they started putting them in at the end of 07.

 

Yeah, now if only they'd included the auto-up windows a bit earlier...

How do you know when the build is? Is it on the inside frame of the door panel?
