Squeaking door when warming/cooling
Squeaking door when warming/cooling
Odd problem has shown up with our 2006 Cooper.
During the middle of the day, and at night, the driver side door operates perfectly, and silently.
But, during the morning and evening, it squeaks incredibly loudly. It appears only when the car is noticeably warmer or cooler than the air.
It doesn't appear to be the hinges, but something inside the door. I'm guessing the door check? Other ideas?
If it's the door check, can I lube it? Or should I consider replacing it?
