Accelerator issue

I have an '02 Mini and recently my accelerator quit working. It had no power. Put it in neutral and no response to it. Anybody have any ideas?

Yes, the DSC light stays on and there was a code, but I can't remember it. I took it for repair and they can't figure it out. Ordered throttle sensor, but that wasn't it.

The accelerator pedal will not respond if the brake switch is not working (actuated by the brake pedal)... Do you have brake lights?...

The car will start and idle fine, however the RPMs will not increase past idle if the brake switch is defective!

Well, I had the Mini taken to a different place, because I just don't think the other guy new what he was talking about. The 2nd place had it for five days and never had a problem. The codes that lit up were 1125 and 1126. I haven't looked them up yet. I did get the car back and what happened is a mystery. She's running perfect now.

Those are both throttle control circuit codes, ones is an open and I think one is a non response code.
