Drivers Side Wind Noise coming from Mirror!

07 MCS
At 80 km/hr (50mph) a wind noise develops that sounds like the driver's side window is not quite closed. Dealer could not find anything wrong (but, since they are in a downtown location, didn't bother to test it at that speed!). It's been there since day one and though it's not a major pain, I would like to sort it out.

Yesterday I discovered that the noise seems to be coming from the mirror. When I fold the mirror back the noise disappears.

Anyone else have this issue?

p.s. car has power folding mirrors.

yup. one of the few irritants on my 2009 that I didnt have on my 2005. but I only notice it above 60, and dependent on direction of travel, for some reason I hear it more going N/S. dunno if the mirrors alone are responsible, but they could be a factor. I just turn up the tunes and after tues Ill have a JCW exhaust drone to drown it out.

hey it's better than having wind whistling thru yr back hatch, like on my 2005. Im convinced a drunk bloke (or an out of synch robot) put that car together...

It lasts only between 80 and 90 mph and goes away after that. Doesn't bother me much.

I have this same issue. Brought it in two weeks after I got the car for wind noise and the sunroof problem. They claimed they reset the sunroof and changed the seals on the door. I call Bullsh*t cuz the sunroof gave me problems in their parking lot and the scuff on the door seal was still there. They probably parked it there for a day and called me back to pick it up the next day. I didn't mind cuz I took their loaner for a "proper motoring" and the loaner had the darn wind noise too.

It's pretty well documented that the frameless windows tend to have a bit of noise at highway speed. But I actually don't notice any wind noise beyond what I believe is the driver's side mirror..

What I do notice is that when there is window noise, I can make it stop by folding back the driver's side mirror. My question, as the original poster, is can anyone else duplicate the "folded mirror fix"?
