The car is stationary with the engine off so I know it is not the brake pads or the rotors. When I step on the brakes in makes rather loud groaning noises. Tried to lubricate the joints but it does not help. Anyone else with a R56 with this noise? Any help is greatly appreciated. Just wanted some ideas before bringing it back to the dealer. Thanks.

 

What year Mini, what mileage. How is the fluid level ???

 

2008 MCS with 3000 miles, 3 months old. Fluid level is good, no leaks.

The sound seems to come from the linkage, not at the brakes...
