Mini Service in Texas
Mini Service in Texas
My '07 MCS died today. After a short trip this morning a yellow 'service engine' warning light came on. The car limped home in safe mode. I live in Corpus Christi. Our closest dealer is San Antonio. I haven't been very impressed with their customer relations there. We bought our Mini in Dallas due to poor response to inquiries in San Antonio when we were shopping. Any Texans have any luck with the San Antonio service center?
I also have the Amber Gear Cog warning showing up randomly that I need to have addressed.

Update on my car. The service advisor thinks that I might have gotten ahold of some bad gas. We routinely fill up at a Valero. Turns out that Valero has some gas additive that does not do well in the Mini. Guess I'll be going to Shell when we get the car back.
Anyone heard of that? Problems with Valero gas?

Well we have been treated very well in SA and it is where we bought the mini and it is the closest to home, but once the Austin store is complete, we will probably switch for convenience sake.
Good Luck and thanks for the heads up on Valero...

I took my MINI into the service station at the SA location, also where I bought my car, I live in San Marcos. Haven't had any issues with their service, I took my MINI in because it was jurking, kind of hesitating when driving, and a bit sluggish at times and they said it was bad gas also, I too had been filling up at Valero in SA and in San Marcos, I now just make sure if I do get gas at Valero, the next time I gas up I go to Shell, Texaco, Exxon , or Chevron. It might have just been the gas at that Valero station, maybe try out another one and see what happens. Best of Luck.
