I picked up my cabrio sidewalk at the end of May. I have had to bring it in three times due to the service engine light coming on and worse. The first time, was the day I picked it up. I brought it back and they had to "reset' the computer.

The 2nd time, the light came on and the transmission (automatic) was stuck in 2nd gear. This means that at fifty miles per hour the rpms are at 4300, very high. They had to replace all these fuses and again reset the computer. The 3rd time (yesterday), The same exact thing happened. I have to bring it in tomorrow.

Its so damn frustrating as this is a brand new car. Clearly there is a bigger issues. The service agent is excellent so far. I spoke with him and said I know you can fix it again, but I need to know why it is happening, not just being fixed. He replied that it clearly wasnt fixed the first time as it should not happen again. He did imply that if it happened a 3rd time after this next repair, we should all sit down and discuss larger options.

I purchased the car at mini of nyc in manhattan

Such a shame.

 

Personally if my brand new car started having such problems I would hand the keys back.
