What Makes Up For a Lemon?
What Makes Up For a Lemon?
had a question about a lemon... I heard that in order for a car to be a lemon the dealership has to have a problem that can't be fixed for at least three times within a month..
I've have 23000 miles on my car and a month ago I had to takenin my car because the engine was messed up and they switched out the whole engine pretty much.
Then the day after I got Another cel and it took them about two days to fix and it was because the thermostat was messed up. I think. But they had to reprogram the car
Then the day after I got my second fix done the ceo came on Again. And now I'm driving A loaner and frustrated that my mini is giving me so many problems. Up to the point where I'm wiling to sell it for a Honda
Would this constant problem of the CEL coming back on be a car of a lemon?

You are better off asking the right people, not a public forum.
Check here for your state and if need be contact a lawyer, they know the right answer and for lemon law services they are FREE. http://www.carlemon.com/

Some States require that the dealer provide the buyer with a handbook explaining the lemon laws as applicable in that State.
Best place to start is the DMV web site for your State where you will find plenty of information.
