HVAC panel, half illuminated

Hi.
I have the non automatic hvac panel (the one with tree *****).
Today, when i switched the drivings lights on, only the half of the illumination of this panel came on.

The rest of the interior illumination stuff is working ok.
Shutting off and restarting the car doesn't solve the problem.

What should I check?
How this panel is illuminated? Are tiny incandescent lamps or leds inside of it?

Any help is appreciated.

Gustavo.

From: Washington. No, the other one.
Surface mount LEDs. Not replaceable without some specialized tools and training. Replacing the whole panel is the usual fix. (yeah, I know. How stupid can that be?)

Today I've solved the problem.
There are no surface mount leds. There are two 12V 1,5W bulbs (standard)

Anyway it was a bit tricky to get access to the bulb socket.

I left a DIY in other post.
