I am now having the good old issue with my hood scoop melting due to the heat coming off the turbo. I have read about the M7 heat shield, and the turbo wraps, but I could not find any info on whether or not eaither of these corrected the hood scoop melting issue.

I am going to bring my MINI into the dealer for a replacement hood scoop soon (My SA here in AZ has not ever heard of this problem of course), but before I do this I want to make sure that I do something to prevent this from happening again BEFORE I have a new hood scoop installed.

Or do you think MINI will do something about this problem sometime soon, so I will not have to have them continually replace this hood scoop until my warranty is up, if they even will in the first place.
