Having issues with front lip spoiler/grille

Replaced the lower front spoiler (the black plastic piece that you scrape everytime you leave a parking lot) and the grille due to damage from the previous owner. I bought the new pieces from Classic MINI, installed them- but now I can't get the tabs of the lip spoiler to connect and hold into the grille. The tabs will fit in, but pop out within minutes. Has anyone ever dealt with this and found a cure? Tried again to fix it today- just can't figure out a way!

I replaced mine and had the same problem. My resolution below:

If you have the bumper off you can clip the two pices together and from the back side stick a small screw in the little gap. Do not screw in the screw just use it as a wedge to hold the two pieces of plastice together.

While the bumper is off the screw wedge will hold it while you mix up a little bit of JB Weld or favorite quick set epoxy from Pep~boys or where ever.

Just use a little dab applied to each cliped connection point with a toothpick or q-tip will do the trick. Next let it set for at least 20 min or so. Longer the better.

I covered the screw (Glued it in place)with epoxy making sure that you could not see my fix at all from the front of the grill / bumper. PERFECT!
