Railroasd tracks-> car died!

Just got a panic call from a friend who is 60 mile away in her husband's 2004 MCS. She drove over railorad tracks, the windows rolled down and the car stopped. Now it will crank, but no fire.

I'm told that a mechanic there has checked the fuses, wiggled the ECU plug, but doesn't know where the throttle plug is. They also didn't get any error codes. I've suggested battery disconnect and start over, but don't have any other ideas. I've done a quick search here, sorry if I've missed a similar thread.

Any ideas I can call back to them??

edit: P.S. we're seven hours from any MINI dealerships...

Something with the fuel system maybe? Like, relays or connectors I guess.

More in the story...

Thanks for the input.

My friend told me last night that when they bought their MINI the previous owner had installed an aftermarket theft alarm. Mechanic that looked at it told her the connections were not secure, and that she had bumped one loose going over the tracks, shutting down the vehicle.

She had been on her way to pick up her husband as he returned from Guard duty. Turns out he didn't get to drive it home
