Oil Pan Gasket Replacement

How long should it take to replace the oil pan gasket on a 2002 MCS?

Dealer has quoted 3.5 hours for the job.

That is about what it took for mine under warranty.
Apparently a somewhat involved job.

I think it is involved since there is no traditional oil pan...I think you have to remove the sump. I almost miss my old saturn where it was as easy to change the oil as it was to remove the oil pan.

I believe that is fair...3.5 hrs......

It is somewhat involved,....maybe not real difficult, but more time-consuming than some designs.

[Mitchell flat rate manual shows 3.8 hrs]
