E-Brake Light Randomly On and Off

Last few times I have driven my Mini the E-brake light randomly comes on. Then after a few miles it goes off. The it comes back on. Anyone know what could be causing this? Time to have the E-break checked? BTW its a 02' MC with 50k miles.

My guess is your master cylinder is low on brake fluid. As your brake pads wear the level of the brake fluid drops until that light comes on. It will go on & off as it sloshes around while you drive. That is perfectly normal. Check your brake fluid level & how much brake pad you have left.

Thanks. Your right, my pads are pretty worn down. I'll have to plan on replacing them soon.
