what brake system would you reccomend to replace my stock one the only alternitive ive found would be to upsize to the r56 brakes and i dont know if it would even be worth the cash.
i want to idealy be able to buy it in parts then throw it all on the car.
so anyone have a diffrent than stock solution that works great that you can find pads for let me know.....;
cause im not sure about this stock one. its wobbly from speed.

if it is wobbly then you might just need to upgrade to some better rotors.

Slow down a second! No pun meant I suppose.

Lets not get to drastic here, there is no immediate need to go up in brakes size if you arent tracking you car heavily. For street use you can get plenty of stop out of good rotors and some nice pads. The first thing that needs to be figured out is this wobble. Does it do it just under braking or all the time? Obviously if it does it while you are off the brakes changing parts there wont help.

Look at Carbotech pads, everyone who has used them has nothing but positive things to say about them. If you wont real COLD TEMP brake force, the Carbotech AX6's have been described as having "slam your face into windshield" bite. The EBC's on the other hand... well they have a less than stellar reputation. As far as rotors go, just about anything will work.

Stopping is more a function of how much friction your pads create and how well your tires grip the road. You can only slow you car down as much as your tires can grip. Upgrading to bigger brakes is done more because they can absorb more heat making them less likely to fade, not because they make you stop faster.

do you still think that the R56 brake set up is too much for the street?
and i will look for new pads and rotors.
I want to use the car for track....
and it wobbles when the brakes are applyed heavaly from anyspeed above 55 more noticeble around 100 to 130(fastest ive gone in this car)
i have iffy pads as of right now i just replaced them.
I have to wait till they bed in to see if that will help any.
i just was worried that the car would not pull up to a stop from speed straight
my 1968 mini would do that but i attibuted that to it being frontwheel drive and having an 80 inch wheel base.......
all the other cars i have owned are rear wheel drive and never had this problem really.
i come from a history of corvettes....

Some guy got it right above, upgrading pads only gets you so far. If you can lock up the wheels with the stock pads then upgrading them isn't going to stop the car any faster (Tire traction is a limitation at this point).

The R56 brakes are a nice upgrade if you track the car, for the street though it's overkill. A nice set of Carbotech pads will go a long way.

I have a set of Mintex xTreme front pads, with DBA 4000 Rotors laying around somewhere with some life left on them. They're yours if you want to pay for shipping or come pick them up (We're not that far). The pads and rotors have some use, but they've still got a decent amount of life left, and if you can install them yourself, it's free, so who cares .

I can also do some digging to see if I still have the stock pads laying around (Front and rear). If I recall they're almost brand new. I also have a full set of front calipers and SS lines, along with all the brackets and stuff to mount it up.

Sounds like your rotors could be warped from the description you've offered, replacing them should in theory stop the vibration during braking.

Definitely sounds like warped rotors. The rotor size is not the problem do upgrading to r56 will not help. Stock rotors are fine. It's the pads that will help you stop. I'm using the carbotech bobcats and they are a crapload better than the stock ones. But changing pads will not help with any kind of wobble you have going on.
