i own a 2004 R50 cooper. my power steering will intermittently stop working sometimes, and i've checked the fuse (F31 on my car, though i've heard some other R50 owners say their steering fan is on F39) and the steering fluid, both of which are fine, so i'm convinced that my fan is the problem. MINI phone support seems to be down, so can anyone else supply me with a diagram of how to find the fan / a walkthrough on how to find it? thanks.

also, where is the cheapest place to buy the fan filter? i dont want this problem happening again, but i don't want to overpay either. i know minimania has it for $45, but if there's anywhere else that sells the same quality filter for cheaper, i'd love to hear about it.
