Greetings, Yesterday, when I pulled the door handle, to open the door, I felt a snap and the lever moved but the door didn't. Now the lever moves but the door does not open. The inside release works OK but the passenger door doesn't open from the outside. Has anyone else had this problem?

It is an 02 Cooper with 60000 miles. Needless to say I am upset.

can you hear a click in the handle or does it feel like a loose lever?

 

There is a bowden cable from the inside handle to the actuator some times the cable just unclips sometimes it snaps really just depends
