My coolant reservoir appears empty 2005 S

I was wondering why my fan kept running after I turned off the igntion today - it had been idling for while as I was programming my XM radio. I just checked my coolant reservoir and it appears empty! What brand of coolant do I buy? Thanks.

You may have a cracked coolant bottle or a leak somewhere if you're completely dry on an 05. Coolant doesn't usually go anywhere. If you open up your oil cap is there any white or milky residue on it?
