Yea so I'm just driving along and I hear a POP and see a bit of smoke. I pop the hood and see that the plug has popped out. I noticed earlier that my gas guage wasn't working either...

What could cause that plug to pop out and could it be related? Admittedly, it has been awhile since I changed my oil but my pressure gauge says its working fine.

 

Was it #2? - not an uncommon issue. What brand plug?

Sounds unrelated to the gas gauge.

 

It was the far left plug. I had Denso IK-22 in there. It was pretty black so I will be replacing them all soon... hopefully it's the only issue

 

did you put them in or a shop?

Aftermarket plugs should be torqued to 21ftlbs.
