perhaps a little more info would help get the ball rolling for you. when does it happen? does it happen all the time? when turning? on a scale of 1 to 10 how loud is it? any vibration?

Sorry should have given a little more info. The noise can be heard upon releasing the accelerator. IT could make the sound when under acceleration, but I have a magnaflow exhaust its pretty hard to hear anything. I would rate the sound at about a 5. No sound is heard when idling. I think it could maybe be something with the suspension. I can't see anything hanging down from under the car. The car runs strong.
Thanks Again

"Rattling chain" sounds a little 'light' for suspension problems; have you checked to see if any of your exhaust hangers are loose or broken? Is it coming from the front? Rear? Left or right?
Get it up on ramps or jackstands and eyeball the undercarriage. Grab things (exhaust pipes -cold!-, suspension bits, etc.) and give them a good shake. You need to narrow it down, or at least figure out what it isn't.

My bet would be something to do with the exhaust system. A heat shield could be slightly loose. I had a metallic rattling sound occur at just between 3K to 4K RPMs that sounded like a SS brake line was rubbing against the strut or rotor, but ended up being an exhaust tip that broke loose from its bracket. Like skip.irving proposed, get under the car and start shakin'!

Exhaust components are a good place to start. The system runs from front to back and can resonate, causing sounds to appear to be coming from a different place than they are created.
