The MINI Dings, Dings, Dings ... and stops for nothing!

So this is a weird one that ive had happen to me twice and I think I figured it out this last time.

When I start the car up with the fuel on to the last bar it does the typical warning ding. Then it doesn't show the warning on the display and just keeps on making the sound forever. I tried turning the car off taking the key out and walking away and the first time it didn't stop until i had left the car for a few hours. This past time I noticed that it made the noise but never actually showed the warning on the display so I manually selected the range mode for the computer and the noise stopped and the fuel warning symbol took over the display. Appears to have gotten stuck into an infinite loop somewhere and selecting that mode makes it go away. This one could be a while for them to fix it, don't know how to explain that one to miniusa. Could be useful for everyone to know so if it happens to them they don't go insane.

i have had Coop ding for lengthy periods of time as well, what happened to him had nothing to do with gas or anything... without putting the key in, try pushing the key fob entry in once... that stopped my dinging. For some odd reason and unsure of how it happened, but the fob entry was in the turned on position while the car was turned off... Try it out and see if that works for you, it worked for me
