I have an 03 Cooper S. The first time I washed it the lower plastic black grill in the front of the car came loose when I touched it. I took it to the dealer and they refit it. It happened again. I am not rough with the car. The center clip on the bottom of the grill is not secure and it keeps coming loose. The dealer said that is the way the car is and I just have to be careful. I showed them on another car that the grill doesn't pop off if you touch it. Any suggestions? My car has been in for service like 6 times, and I have only had it 2 months. The service center is terrible and never fixes what they are supposed to. I want to tell them what is wrong and then see if they can fix it. Can they just replace the clip there? Thanks for your help.

I don't touch that lower piece of plastic mesh anymore. If it does pop out, I have found that a hex key (3 mm or so) seems to work well as a hook to pull the mesh back onto the clip.

Well after the third time of "repositioning" the grill the service manager, a mechanic, and I discovered that there was a very small crack that you could barely see right where the clip clips onto the grill. They are replacing my grill today. Hopefully it will hold better now. Thanks for all your advice.
