Problem discovered during first oil change
So Thursday I bought a used 2004 MCS and yesterday I was changing the oil and what do I find...a nice big wet spot of oil on the bottom of the block. So I cleaned off all the oil and sprayed it with brake cleaner to get rid of the oil; I look today and theres another spot of fresh, clean oil ( the same kind I just added to my car) on the bottom of the block. From what I can tell it's coming from where the block and the tranny case meet.
Upon further looking I also found oil around the valve case near the drivers side and alittle on the back ( not from changing the oil because I didnt spill any
). I guess my only option is the take it back to the dealer and see if they will fix it. Under CT state law I have 60 days to have it fixed for free but its an audi dealer so I dont know if they will fix it themselves or take it about an an hour away to the Mini dealer.
I love the car...but this is not the way to start off a good relationship.

Valve cover leaking? Hopefully it'll be an easy fix. Good luck.
Speaking of DIY have you checked your air filter? I was stunned with how dirty mine was.
Don't think the previous owners ever changed it!

No, I havnt. I have an appointment next Tuesday with the dealership, hopefully after that when the problem is fixed, I'm going to put a pulley and a Dinan intake on the car.
