Tire pressure indicator

My tire pressure / flat indicator light started blinking the other day while driving normally. Checked the tires and noticed one was 27.5psi while the others were all 30.5psi. Light kept blinking until I held down the button beneath my e-brake, it went off. Checked the tire again a couple days later and it was lower; 26.5psi and found a thorn. Tire shop said no leak.

Manual says I have to go to the dealer. Light is off and no problems. Any suggestions?

I do not know what year your Coop is? But, mine has to be reset before starting. When my light pops the DSC goes with it. Since the tire store found no leaks, is it still leaking? You might try to tighten the valve stem core, tool at AutoZone,Napa etc. sometimes they leak if the cap is off or moisture gets in the cap. If it keeps blinking might need a dealer reset.

The low tire indicator works by reading difference in wheel speed: low tire= smaller= turning faster. When you read the 26.5, did you check the other tires? Were they also reading lower? Ambient temp plays a big part in pressure readings. Also, were the tires cold or warmed up?
You should be running 32-34lbs cold for normal street use.
If the light is off, no need to go to the dealer.

Fix leak. Set tire pressure to proper value (check tag on diver's side door post for correct psi). Start car. Hold down the button 'til the light flashes on the display. Go driving. System will re-calibrate to new values.
