Well no, they don't just fall off by themselves ... but I just lost one in the car wash. (No flames please ... it's too damn cold up here to wash it myself, and I had about a foot of road grime caked up all over it!!) I feel like an idiot because I didn't notice it was gone until the next day, and now it's really gone. So if you do happen to go through the big bad parts remover, double-check your outsides before leaving the premises for missing pieces!

This story does have a happy ending for Alvin ... he got new checkered caps from the stealer today. And he likes them very much.
