Tire Pressure Warning Indicator

So this morning the yellow warning light for the tire pressure indicator came on. I drove to Starbucks with the warning light on which seems to indicate there is a problem with the pressure gauge or it needs to be reset. When I got out of Starbucks to drive to the office, the light turned off. Could this be because it was very cold during the night and the pressure in the tire was reduced enough to cause the gauge to "malfunction" or think it was malfunctioning? Is it something I should actually have looked at? And finally, does it actually need to be reset occasionally because of temperature changes?

Cold could have an effect. Checking your tire pressure would be the prudent action.

Yes check your pressure and reset the light.

If it stays off no problem. Cold weather can have an affect on the sensors.

i think i have had that same problem..key word - think....
im not stupid when it comes to cars BUT the tire pressure monitor shows up in the tach when i turn the car on, and i don't know why...and then i have a yellow triangle indicator with exclamation point in it by my trip odometer...is this something i should be worried about? i picked up the car in october when it was still warm out (and now its been snowing the past week or so) and cant figure out why it wont go away even if i put more air into all of the tires and check them repeatedly...

anyone else having this issue? and how do you reset the light?

go to where you do all your setting, and there's one that said "reset" I had that the other day when my tire pressure was off.

I had the tire pressure light come on and in the display. Also, my DSC could not be turned on (or disabled). I stopped and did a power cycle and reset the tire pressure sensor, but the DSC was still not working. THe button would not turn on/off DSC. So then I a little power slide and it did not come on either. After lunch, the system came back and the tire pressure monitor started working again. I think a wheel sensor got a little messed up this morning some how.
