hard start:hot
if your car has never had a software upgrade from a dealer , i'd try that first. then look to amount of fuelpressure , then depending on the age maybe an injector cleaning . if that's all good could be a valve. then you do the compression test . or you could do it sooner just to see . it's easy to eliminate as a possible . you'd be down on power if it wre a valve though .
Thanks for the ideas... fuel preas. is spot on (43) plus overnight cold starts are fine, even if you really don't give the pump a chance to build-up. Fuel inj flush a month or two back, power/fuel economy is the same as always. I switched back to original plugs, then put a new set of NGK's (pulley) without changing the condition either way. ECM flash was the dealers answer. No improvement. Next??? perhaps a coil? cam sensor?
well do the compression test anyway . get a haynes manual if you're not sure . get it up to normal operating temp and do the test . if all is well ;then you haven't lost a thing and have eliminated a slightly burnt exhaust valve . if it 's something that started happening when the winter fuel came out ; you may wanna give it some time to adjust. the dealer flash could take a few days too . witchhunter performance will clean and balance your injectors for 65.00 .
