R56 Engine Temp warning when car is not hot?

Over the last month or so I've been getting the Engine Temp warning but only when the car has just been started (hence I know it's not hot). Anyone else have this problem and know the solution?

I checked the manual because i thought a lamp at startup had a different meaning but it appears not.
I'd have the dealer take a look.

I had the light come on randomly in situations where I seriously doubt the car was running hot. Brought it to the dealer and sure enough there was a faulty temp sensor thinking the car was hot. Fixed under warranty (but 3 hrs of work since they had to drain the entire cooling system to get the sensor)
