Reasonably Priced Oil Filters

Does anyone out there know where one can buy reasonably price oil filters? I recently ordered a couple and was outraged at the price, $19.00 each. Come on, my BMW 335i filters don't cost that much. But ya gotta have 'em.
If anyone has a line on less expensive ones please post on here. Thanks.

Pelican Parts lists them (11427557012) at $14.75.

They're probably cheaper from Classic.

The '06 filters do not fit in the 07 MCS. And the local suppliers here in Bradenton/Sarasota FL do not have the new ones.

I noticed on my dealer invoice for a filter, $19 is list. I paid $9.50. If you want to buy from the dealer, I'd ask why they charge list for it when other dealers don't.

Did you find any problems with them? I just ordered a case of 4, but these are not the same filters I see every other store selling...These are not white and do not have the black plastic caps on each end...they look like the R56 filter

In the past I have purchased two filters from my dealer at about $14.50 each and then I bought two more from OutMotoring at the same price. The dealer originally was supposed to charge $19.95 and made an error. I pointed it out but he said not to worry. However, I will now buy filters from www.germanfilters.com. At about $8.00 each how can you go wrong. Just make sure you get BMW part #11 42 7 557 012 if you have an 07 Coioper S. I've no idea what the part number is for any others.
I just recalled that I also bought 4 filters from Way Auto, total price including shipping $42.50. Good luck.

I'm confused, I thought the oil filters from germailfilters were OEM ones.

I wouldn't order from them yet too fast...It seemed like my perfect solution, but I just got the 4 pack in the mail the other day and they look like the R53 filters...yellow, no plastic caps, and straight filters...the others for the R56 I've seen are white with plastic caps, and have waved filters

I'm checking with them now, but they said they sent me the correct filter. I will be returning it, but I think the problem is is that they have the same filter assigned to the 07 Cooper, S, and Cabrio...i think this is a cabrio filter and they just do not realize that the engines are different...the filter does say Peugeot, but i do not feel comfortable putting this filter in my car when it looks sooo much different than the others I have seen for sale.

They are, but i think they may have a mix up with which ones are for the 07 Cooper/S, and the cabrio

I will find out soon and will keep you posted

As Coop says, the OEM filter is Part #11 42 557 012. and is white pleated with plastic ends for the 07-08 R56 engine. The other style is for the R53 and 07 Cabrio, and will not fit the R56. You should pay about $11 ea by mailorder.
