Xenon light weirdness
Xenon light weirdness
So tonight I noticed something that I thought was out of the ordinary and I'd like some feedback. After turning off the car and lights and removing the key, I accidentally pulled back the light stalk and thus flashed my brights. Once the stalk returned to the original position the brights went out as they should, but the lows (the Xenons) and all the other parking lamps were on
. When I turned the switch to the normal lights on position and then to off the lights turned off. After this I repeated it twice by flicking on the brights and turning the switch until they went off. Is this normal or repeatable by others?
The reason I am concerned is that I recently had to get my driver's side Xenon replaced (under warranty) because it would not level (pointed straight down ) and this made be think there could be a electrical issue. On the other hand maybe that's just how it is.
So if anyone feels like giving it a shot just let me know how that turned out/on.
Thanks,
Chris

I think this is built in functionality so you can turn on the lights after you park in the dark and walk to your house without tripping over all the junk that your kids left in the driveway
They should go out on their own after a set amount of time (the lights, not the kids).

It's called "follow me home" lights. At least you have to do something to trigger them to come on and stay on for 40 seconds (default on my car). On my other car (a Buick), they just stay on and turn themselves off later. People often tell me I left my lights on.
